Water storage solutions
Ok it so it may be a little bit late for this current heatwave, but water storage, saving water and collecting, (harvesting), rainwater can help both you and our water supply network. Simple things that can be done include adding rain-water butts to gutter down pipes which collect the rain that falls onto the roof. This can then be used to water your garden plants and grass and is not subject to hosepipe bans or water restrictions.
To conserve water reduce the time you spend in the shower by two minutes, this can reduce your water usage by as much as 30 litres per shower!
Don’t leave the tap running whilst you are brushing your teeth, this can save as much as 13 litres of water per time.
Bottle tap water and put it in your fridge as opposed to running the tap each time until the water runs cold, this saves a massive amount of water😁
If you have a bath or are washing your dishes use the wastewater to water the flowers or the grass, believe it or not , plants love water with detergents and food fats in it 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌷🌷🌷🌷
All of these things can help, all of us. If you are thinking of water storage but don’t know how feel free to call us or contact us using the contact form.
